The Subotin family adapted an apartment of about 30 m2 in Novi Sad with the intention of renting it out through the AirBnB portal. The apartment is in an excellent location, not far from the city center, while it is well connected to other parts of the city by public transport. The apartment consists of a living room with a dining space, a bathroom, a bedroom and a terrace. The main problem in the space was too small bathroom with insufficient space for a washing machine and storage.

The solution to this problem was the creation of a small entrance hall. In this way, the entrance area was defined and separated from the living room, and additional space for storing the wardrobe was also obtained. In the hallway, there is also a closet in which the washing machine is “hidden”. This move was possible because the hallway and the bathroom have a common wall, so connecting the water supply and sewerage installations for the needs of the washing machine’s operation was simple.

The furniture in the living room is mobile and the space can be easily transformed. In this way, two people can sleep on the sofa, and the dining table is placed under the TV and unfolds as needed. The chairs are foldable and, when not in use, can be a decoration since they are hung on hooks on the wall.

In the bedroom, a work space has been designed for all those travelers who have business obligations during the trip. The storage space for the wardrobe is organized behind the bed, but is still easily accessible.
